The Starlicht Softlux T5 light strip is a long and powerful under-cabinet and work light for kitchens, workshops, basements, offices, and other dry interior areas. With a light length of approx. 124.5 cm, it is particularly suitable for illuminating larger work surfaces, long kitchen counters, and furniture areas.

The included T5 fluorescent tube with 28 W generates a luminous flux of 2,604 lumens and neutral white light at 4,000 Kelvin. A directly integrated on/off switch and an electronic ballast ensure convenient operation and reliable performance.

T5 under-cabinet light for long kitchen countertops

With a length of around 125 cm, the Softlux is particularly suitable for longer kitchen and wall cabinets. Mounted under a suitable upper cabinet, the light strip brings additional light directly onto the work surface below.

This makes the T5 under-cabinet light for the kitchen ideal for larger countertops and kitchen counters where continuous linear illumination is desired.

2,604 lumens and neutral white light at 4,000 Kelvin

The included T5 tube reaches a luminous flux of 2,604 lumens. With a color temperature of 4,000 Kelvin, it produces neutral white light with a clear and objective lighting effect.

This makes the Softlux suitable not only as countertop lighting at 4,000 Kelvin, but also for workshops, hobby rooms, offices, basements, or other functional indoor areas.

T5 fluorescent tube with G5 base

The Starlicht Softlux uses a T5 fluorescent tube with a G5 base. The included illuminant has an output of 28 W, a length of approx. 1,149 mm, and a diameter of approx. 15 mm.

The T5 tube is not permanently integrated into the light and can be replaced if necessary with a technically suitable illuminant with a matching G5 base, length, and wattage.

With integrated on/off switch

An on/off switch is located directly on the light strip. This allows the lighting to be operated directly at the point of use, without the need for an additional switch on the lamp for standard operation.

Especially as an under-cabinet light with a switch under kitchen furniture or above a workbench, this provides a simple and practical operating option.

Electronic ballast integrated

The Softlux is equipped with an electronic ballast (EB). The necessary ballast electronics for operating the T5 fluorescent tube are therefore already integrated into the light.

It operates at 220–240 V. An additional external ballast is not required.

Protective cover for an enclosed light strip

The T5 fluorescent tube is enclosed by a protective cover. This distinguishes the Softlux from open or bare-bulb light strips, where the fluorescent tube is completely exposed.

The white plastic housing has a simple and functional design and can be integrated inconspicuously into kitchen, furniture, and work areas.

IP40 for dry interior areas

The Softlux has an IP40 protection rating. It is protected against the ingress of solid foreign objects of a certain size, but has no specified protection against water.

It is versatile for use in kitchens, workshops, basements, or other dry interior areas. When used as mirror or auxiliary lighting in the bathroom, the mounting location must be suitable for an IP40 light and must be outside of areas where specific moisture protection is required.

Slim 125 cm light strip

The light has dimensions of approx. 1245 × 32 × 60 mm. Despite its length of almost 1.25 meters, the housing is comparatively slim at only approx. 32 mm wide.

This makes the long 125 cm light strip suitable for kitchen counters, workbenches, shelves, and other larger work and furniture areas.
