Which outdoor spotlight is right for you?
LED floodlights with motion sensors turn on automatically as soon as someone enters the detection range – ideal for front entrances, driveways, and garages. They deter burglars while saving energy, as they only shine when needed. Available models include the portrait-format floodlight with motion sensor, 2,600 lumens, the wide LED floodlight with motion sensor, 2,600 lumens for larger areas, as well as the more compact 2-lamp floodlight with motion sensor, 1,200 lumens.
Adjustable outdoor lights can be flexibly aligned and are suitable for wall or facade mounting when you want to direct light specifically at a certain area, such as the adjustable silver LED outdoor light, 1,600 lumens or the same light as an adjustable white LED outdoor light, 1,600 lumens.
Garden and plant spotlights with ground spikes illuminate trees, shrubs, or flower beds directly from below, creating an atmospheric effect in the garden, such as the Power-LED garden spotlight with IP68 protection for ground insertion, the LED outdoor spotlight with ground spike and IP67 protection, or the adjustable IP67 plant spotlight made of AISI 316L stainless steel, which permanently withstands even saline garden air and moisture.
Where are outdoor spotlights & floodlights particularly suitable?
At the driveway, a floodlight with a motion sensor provides safety when parking in the dark. At the entrance, automatic light deters uninvited visitors and makes finding the keyhole easier. In the garden, plant spotlights with ground spikes put trees and shrubs in the spotlight. Along garden paths, adjustable outdoor lights provide additional orientation. At the garage, a floodlight supplements existing lighting for added safety. Our outdoor spotlights also provide reliable illumination for carports, yards, commercial premises, storage areas, waste bin areas, construction sites, or parking lots.

A floodlight with a motion sensor is particularly suitable for driveways and entrances where light is only needed on demand to save energy. For patios or garden paths, where uniform, continuous lighting is desired, our adjustable outdoor lights without motion sensors are more suitable, as they can be operated continuously via a standard switch.

Things to consider before you buy
Protection class (IP rating): At least IP44 is required for outdoor use. For ground-level spotlights or those constantly exposed to the weather, such as plant spotlights with ground spikes, IP67 or IP68 is recommended.
How many lumens do I need?
A 10-watt LED spotlight is roughly equivalent to a 100-watt halogen spotlight. For smaller areas like a garden path or a plant, 200–400 lumens are sufficient. For driveways and entrances, 1,000–2,000 lumens are recommended, and for large areas or as additional security lighting, 2,500 lumens or more can be used, as with our high-performance floodlights.
Which light color is suitable?
Warm white (2,700–3,000 K) creates a cozy atmosphere and is well-suited for patios, gardens, and entrances. Neutral white (4,000 K) appears clearer and more functional, fitting well with garages, carports, and driveways. Cool white (5,000–6,500 K) provides maximum brightness and is particularly suitable for industrial, storage, and functional work areas.
At what height should an outdoor spotlight be mounted?
For front entrances, a mounting height of approximately 200–220 cm has proven effective so that the motion sensor's detection range is optimally aligned. For garages, a height of 200–250 cm is recommended to capture the driveway and surrounding area generously. In a carport, the height depends on the vehicle's clearance. On a facade, it is best to mount adjustable outdoor lights high enough so that the light beam can be flexibly directed to the desired area, usually between 200 and 300 cm.
Color rendering (CRI)
For paths and security lighting, an Ra value above 80 is usually sufficient. Those who want to illuminate plants or facades as naturally as possible will benefit from higher color rendering.
LED floodlights with motion sensors
A motion sensor offers several advantages: more security as the path is illuminated automatically, more comfort since no manual switching is required, energy savings as the light is only active when movement actually occurs, and a deterrent effect on uninvited visitors. All three of our floodlight models feature an integrated motion sensor.
Smart home & dusk-to-dawn control
Many users look for outdoor spotlights with dusk-to-dawn sensors or smart home connectivity via Zigbee, Wi-Fi, or app. In our current assortment of outdoor spotlights and floodlights, we do not carry such features – our models switch classically via the integrated motion sensor or a wall switch.
Which outdoor spotlight matches your interior style?
For modern facades, clear, minimalist shapes without playful details are suitable. The industrial style fits well with functional, robust floodlight models. Classic and minimalist architecture, on the other hand, benefits from unobtrusive, simple spotlights that blend into almost any facade without taking center stage.
Materials and colors
The focus of this collection is on functional outdoor spotlights made of aluminum and plastic. For particularly demanding locations, such as in the immediate vicinity of the garden with direct ground contact, we also carry a plant spotlight made of AISI 316L stainless steel, which can withstand saline air and constant moisture. You can find further designs and color variants, such as anthracite or black, in our outdoor wall lights category.
Light source: Modern outdoor spotlights generally have integrated LEDs. For replaceable models, GU10 bulbs are often used.
Why LED outdoor spotlights?
LED outdoor spotlights have now almost completely replaced classic halogen floodlights. They consume significantly less electricity, reach full brightness immediately, and are particularly durable. At the same time, they are robust enough for year-round outdoor use, making them very low-maintenance.
