Protection Class (IP rating): Outdoor lights must be weatherproof. For standard outdoor areas, IP44 is sufficient; for particularly exposed locations, IP65 or higher is recommended, such as with the IP65 white ceiling/wall light with grille and cover.

Material: Stainless steel, aluminum, and high-quality plastic are the most durable materials for outdoor wall lights. They do not rust, hardly fade, and withstand adverse weather conditions, such as the square, flat aluminum LED outdoor wall light or the flat, rectangular gray outdoor wall light.

Light color: Warm-white light (2,700–3,000 K) creates an inviting atmosphere at the front door. Neutral-white light (4,000 K) is better suited for security-relevant areas like driveways or garages, such as with the large 9-watt white LED outdoor wall light.
