The Kanlux MARID flush-mounted motion sensor enables automatic lighting activation as soon as a person enters the detection area. With a maximum range of 12 meters, this compact PIR motion sensor is particularly suitable as a replacement for conventional light switches in hallways, basements, storage rooms, and other dry indoor areas.
In addition to motion detection, both the on-time duration and the brightness threshold can be individually adjusted. Furthermore, the sensor can be activated by an acoustic signal. The flush-mounted design ensures discreet integration into the wall.
Up to 12 Meters Detection Range
The flush-mounted motion sensor with a 12 m range automatically detects movement within its detection area and switches on connected lighting accordingly. Movements are detected at a speed of 0.3 to 3 m/s, or approximately 1 to 10 km/h.
Adjustable Lighting Duration and Brightness Threshold
The operating duration of the connected lighting can be set from 5 seconds to 7 minutes. In addition, the ambient light level at which the motion sensor becomes active can be defined. The adjustable range is between 3 and 1000 lx.
Additional Activation via Sound
Alongside classic PIR motion detection, the MARID features an acoustic activation function. The sensor can be triggered by sounds in the range of 30 to 90 dB, thereby offering additional possibilities for automatic lighting control.
Flush Mounting for Discreet Installation
With a front size of approx. 80 × 80 mm and an installation depth of 55 mm, the motion sensor can be integrated into the wall in a space-saving manner. The required installation opening is 60 mm. The white plastic housing blends unobtrusively into many light-colored switch and wall designs.
