Original Sompex Lamp Glass G4 – Replacement Glass for MEDUSA 79581 & 79584
This original Sompex lamp glass is a replacement glass for the Sompex MEDUSA pendant light 79581 and the Sompex MEDUSA ceiling light 79584. The unusually shaped glass is white and features the elongated, curved form characteristic of the MEDUSA series, with a twisted, spiral-shaped end. This end has a small hole for heat dissipation, making it suitable for both LED and halogen bulbs.
The glass material is semi-transparent and satin-finished white.
The replacement glass is ideal if an existing glass shade has been damaged or broken and the lamp needs to be preserved. Due to its striking shape, it is not only a functional spare part but also an essential component of the Sompex MEDUSA light's design.
Original Replacement Glass from Sompex
This is an original Sompex lamp glass with the spare part number 79582. The glass was used as a spare part for the MEDUSA lights and is suitable for the corresponding G4 lights with the appropriate glass holder.
There is a small hole for heat dissipation at the very tip of the glass.
The Sompex MEDUSA series uses small G4 bulbs. The lamp glass has an internal measurement of approx. 11 mm at the opening.
Special Twisted Spiral Shape
Unlike a classic straight glass cylinder, this lampshade has a decorative, organically curved shape. The elongated glass body tapers at the top into a twisted spiral or snail-like form. This creates the typical appearance of the Sompex MEDUSA light.

Also usable for other G4 lights?
Use with another light may be possible in principle, provided the holder, attachment, and dimensions match completely. The G4 designation alone is not the deciding factor. Therefore, please compare the internal measurement of the opening of approx. 11 mm as well as the shape and dimensions with your existing lamp glass before purchasing.
Ideal as a replacement in case of glass breakage
