KEMO M013N 230 V Twilight Switch Overview

The KEMO M013N twilight switch is a compact electronic light switch designed for the automatic control of lighting and other suitable loads based on ambient brightness. Using the integrated relay, lighting can, for example, be switched on automatically at dusk and switched off again at daybreak.

This 230 V twilight switch with a potential-free changeover contact switches resistive loads up to 3 A and inductive loads up to 1 A. Due to its compact design, the module is particularly suitable for permanently installed light control systems where garden, courtyard, driveway, shop window, or advertising lighting is to be switched automatically based on brightness.

Automatic switching at dusk and daylight

The integrated light sensor reacts to ambient brightness. The connected load can be switched on at approximately 10 lux ±50%, while it is switched off at approximately 60 lux ±50%. This allows lighting to be operated automatically without having to switch it manually every evening and morning.

Can also be used with reverse switching function

The KEMO M013N can do more than just switch on at dark and off at daylight. Thanks to the potential-free changeover contact, the reverse function is also possible, meaning a suitable load can be switched on at daybreak and switched off at dusk.

30-second reaction delay

An integrated switching delay of approx. 30 seconds ±50% prevents short-term changes in ambient brightness from immediately triggering a switching operation. As a result, the twilight switch does not react immediately to transient stray light, for example.

Important note

The light sensor must be mounted in such a way that the light from the connected light source does not fall directly onto the twilight switch. Otherwise, the automatic switching function may be impaired.
