The Paulmann safety cable separator 978.07 is a special accessory for suitable 12V LED and halogen cable systems. With this set of 2, you can purposefully divide live tension cables into electrically isolated cable sections.
The white insulation sleeves break the conductive connection between individual cable segments. This allows, for example, two tension areas within a low-voltage cable system to be powered separately. The set is particularly suitable for the repair, expansion, and renovation of existing Paulmann cable systems.
Electrical separation of cable sections
The cable separator is installed directly within the tension cable, creating a galvanic or electrical separation. This results in isolated cable sections without a direct conductive connection.
This can be useful, for instance, if two areas of a cable system need to be powered separately or if existing cable runs need to be electrically divided.
For 12V LED and halogen cable systems
The Paulmann 978.07 is intended for suitable 12V low-voltage cable systems with LED or halogen lighting.
This makes the accessory suitable for both older halogen installations and compatible LED cable systems.
Brake balls for mechanical support
The set includes a total of four brake balls. They support the mechanical fastening of the cable ends within the insulation sleeves.
The brake balls are not for electrical insulation but help to securely hold the tension cable at the point of separation.
White finish for light-colored cable systems
The white insulation sleeves integrate particularly well into light-colored cable systems as well as installations against white ceilings or walls.
This version is therefore especially suitable as a replacement for existing white components within an existing low-voltage cable system.
