The Paulmann Cable Separator 978.09 is a special accessory for compatible 12V LED and halogen cable systems. This set of 2 allows live tension cables to be specifically divided into electrically separate sections.
The black insulation sleeves interrupt the conductive connection between cable sections. This allows, for example, two areas of a low-voltage cable system to be powered separately. The set is particularly suitable for repairing, extending, and adapting existing Paulmann cable systems.
Electrical separation of cable sections
The safety cable separator is inserted directly into the tension cable, where it provides electrical or galvanic separation. This creates two isolated cable areas without a direct conductive connection.
This makes the cable insulator ideal for installations where different areas of a cable system need to be powered separately or configured to be electrically independent of one another.
For 12V LED and halogen cable systems
The Paulmann 978.09 is intended for suitable 12V low-voltage cable systems with LED or halogen lighting. This allows the accessory to be used in both classic halogen installations and appropriately compatible LED systems.
Especially with older cable lighting, the cable separator is suitable as a spare part or for expanding an existing installation.
Brake balls for secure mechanical hold
The set includes a total of four white brake balls. These do not provide electrical insulation, but instead support the mechanical fixation of the cable ends.
The balls are inserted into the side openings of the insulation sleeves and help to securely hold the tension cable at the separation point.
Black finish for dark cable systems
The black insulation sleeves can be integrated very discreetly into dark or technically exposed cable systems.
This makes the version suitable, for example, as a replacement for existing black components or for lighting systems where technical parts are intentionally left visible.
