Important note

This energy-saving lamp contains 2.3 mg of mercury. The mercury is located in the closed lamp body and must not be released into the environment when used as intended.

If the lamp breaks, the glass shards should be picked up carefully. Do not use a vacuum cleaner and avoid skin contact with the fragments. The shards can be pushed together with a piece of cardboard, for example, and smaller residues can be picked up with a damp paper towel.

Then pack the fragments airtight, for example in a sealable glass or bag, and ventilate the room thoroughly for at least 30 minutes. Defective or spent energy-saving lamps as well as fragments do not belong in normal household waste, but must be disposed of via a suitable collection point.
